Allan Anthony Donald is a former South African cricketer who is now a cricket coach. Often nicknamed 'White Lightning', he is considered as one of the South Africa national cricket team's most successful pace bowlers. 
 
Donald was one of the top fast bowlers in Test cricket, reaching the top of the ICC Test rankings in 1998, peaking with a ranking of 895 points the next year. In One Day Internationals (ODIs), he reached 794 points in 1998.
The second-highest ODI wicket-taker for South Africa, Donald played 164 fifty-over games between 1991 and 2003 and claimed 272 wickets at an average of 21.78.

The White Lightning played 72 Test between 1992 and 2002, claiming 330 wickets at an average of 22.25.
