The Australian cricket team toured India in the 1986–87 season to play a three-match Test series and a five-match one day international series against India.

The Test series was drawn 0-0, with one tie, and India won the one-day series 3-2. It is best remembered for the tied first Test – only the second time this result has occurred in Test cricket.

The Australian cricket team toured India from February to April 2001 for a three-Test series and a five-match ODI series. The series is considered one of India's finest, as they secured victory against Australia in the Test series, in the process breaking Australia's 15-match win streak in Tests and being the third side to win a Test match after being asked to follow-on during the match in Kolkata. The Kolkata match has been called by some as one of the greatest matches in the sport's history.

Tim Zoehrer is a former Australian cricket player. He played as a wicket-keeper. He played 10 Test matches between 1986 and 1987 when Australia were far from the top team in the world, touring New Zealand and India. He also played 22 One Day Internationals. (10 Tests, 22 ODI’s)

He was picked for Australia's tour of New Zealand in 1986-87.

He made his final international appearance in a World Series match in 1993-94.

Zoehrer was a successful and popular keeper for Western Australia with a state record of 360 dismissals.
